We cannot believe that July has gone by, all the kids getting ready to go back to school, and summer vacations are coming to an end....but wait....Fall and cool temperatures are right around the CORNER! We all can't wait for a break from some opressive heat this summer and begin to wear jackets again...will be very nice.
Besides cool weather...FALL is the perfect time to get back outside and start cooking on the grill again. Since we started carrying the Big Green Egg (BGE( two years ago...many of our clients have asked us about putting on a series of cooking demonstrations featuring the Big Green Egg. Well, we always cook on the BGE every Saturday (weather permitting) and if you are in the neighborhood and want to try some great food you should stop by around 1pm every Saturday. HOWEVER...we did just recently sign up for a series of 3 classes featuring Chef Bobby Cresap cooking on the BGE.
Chef Bobby has been cooking on the BGE for over 20 years, and for many years put on the BGE Academy at the BGE store in Tucker. He's got TONS of experience, and can help show you tricks and techniques of cooking all kinds of food on the BGE. The Cooking Classes start August 25th..with BGE 101. Basically, it's a great course to help our clients learn how to operate and cook on the BGE. He will go thru some reciepes on pizza, beer can chicken, and cook some ribeyes as well.
The next class is September 8th....it's called Big BBQ....it's all about cooking slow and low on the BGE. It's got a lot of emphasis on smokin and food prep with rubs and sauces. Guaranteed to be a big HIT! The last class is Septermber 22nd...it's Raging Cajun...Chef Bobby has a Louisana background, so we are going to cook crawfish and gumbo, etc. all done on the BGE.
Should be a lot of FUN and very informative! Classes are from 6:30PM to 9:00PM on these dates..all food and beverages are included for the class rate. Classes are $40/person.
